Sydney showcased more than just sport during the Olympic Games. The city featured a diverse array of entertainment events, concerts and exhibitions showcasing the best of Australian and international talent.
The Sydney 2000 Olympic Arts Festival began on 18 August with the Tubowgule - Meeting of the Waters welcoming ceremony at La Perouse at dawn.
Free entertainment was provided at six Olympics Live sites - at key locations around the city.
