During the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games our site had a record number of visitors from around the globe. There were 525,000 visitors and 28 million hits. It's no wonder our site was rated to be the third most visited Olympic site by Sydney Morning Herald on 30/9/00.
One of the objectives of the GamesInfo site was to service the international visitors as well as the local visitors and hosts. Visitor information, translated into 12 foreign languages, received 24% of total number of hits.
The TripPlanner was the third most visited area on our site, next to our Entry and Home Pages. We are pleased to see that so many visitors utilized this tool to help them plan their trips around Sydney.
