The story of this domain
From 2000, gamesinfo.com.au hosted "Gamesinfo", the archived public information sites of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, with sections on sports, venues, the torch relay, getting around, accessibility and the language of the Games. That archive later went offline and the domain lapsed. Games Info was relaunched in 2026 as an independent legacy guide. Every page has been written from scratch from published sources. We are not connected with any previous operator of the domain or with the organisers of the Games.

Games Info is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, the Australian Olympic Committee, Paralympics Australia or the Sydney Olympic Park Authority. We do not use Olympic or Paralympic emblems, rings or mascots. Names are used for historical reference only.
How we research
We use published sources: official venue and park information, Transport for NSW, Olympic and Paralympic committee histories, State Library and archive collections, and reputable reference works. Each guide lists its sources. We do not invent quotes, statistics or prices.
